“Sweaty Pilgrims” is the blog of an expat family living and working in Pakistan, a country which has been our home since 2011 and which we have grown to love.  Yes, you read that right.  No, we’re not crazy.

We use this space to blog about life in Pakistan, travel, parenting, and the joys and perplexities of following God, all of which when combined should, hopefully, prove a more fruitful use of internet time than checking Facebook or reading Wikipedia’s list of the largest non-nuclear explosions in history.

We love God, we love Pakistan, we love parenting, and thanks to Pakistan’s climate we spend a lot of our time sweating – hence the blog title.  Annoyingly, most cool blog names have been taken by now, so you’ll just have to put up with it.  Sorry about that.

Hi. I came across your blog when I was googling “Sandes” homes. I attended Murree Christian School until ’89, when I graduated. I’m from Scotland, and I too love Pakistan, but haven’t been back. My parents were missionaries in Mardan. I wish you well on your adventures and in your work.

  2. You may be interested to know that there is a new online community for missionary moms . . .

The website: “Moms in Missions” (https://momsinmissions.com)

And also a Facebook group: (https://www.facebook.com/groups/672492636266355)

I just wanted to extend an invitation to you, and since both the website and the Facebook group are brand new it would be great if you could help spread the word and invite other missionary moms to join as well.

    Blessings in Christ!
